As long as you stick to reasonable wind strengths, these kite turn ugly if the wing picks up too much. The spine needs to be stiffer than the cross spars. Woven CF arrow shafts are the best but not cheap unless you buy lots. Good luck and let me know how it goes.Andrew RC Newtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15753839325787650824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1148408602124402937.post-16074493748909843292017-09-16T05:48:49.691+10:002017-09-16T05:48:49.691+10:00Crikey mate it is now 2017 so I hope you get my me...Crikey mate it is now 2017 so I hope you get my message.
I am a pommy living in the uk.
I am really impressed with your kite work and am keen to start a 2 metre Rokkaku.
The price of the spars is a bit steep though.
What say you to Ramiin dowel ....ie hardwood dowel?Peter Canehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12659698586443869060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1148408602124402937.post-14905160480549915382013-05-26T07:55:24.082+10:002013-05-26T07:55:24.082+10:00That's great Ned, thanks for the feedback. I followed them to sew up my first kite and it flies well. The level of detail was perfect for a first timer. Nedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03089607192570510466noreply@blogger.com
